BRIEFLY ABOUT TARA FOUNDATION
At Tara Foundation, we believe in respectable life and equal opportunity for all. Our outstanding team dedicated to human values specializes in philanthropic work and share a common vision.
Based at Muzaffarpur in India’s eastern state of Bihar, our work is spread throughout India wherein we focus on issues that demand urgent attention and follow-up action, solutions, and significant results like in elimination of child labor, trafficking, women uplift, disaster, disability, hygiene and sanitation for destitute.
Recently, when the devastating flood caused by Kosi River inundated large areas from Nepal to Bihar in India’s east, affecting hundreds of thousands, we were there with all our volunteers. Even if we were unable to stop flood, we at least saved lives, many lives.
We team with governments and other partners to make a significant impact in the lives of people. We are gearing up to strengthen our capacity and may you be part of us – as a volunteer, donor, guide or partner – to meet the growing challenges.
Registered in 2003, we take pride in the legacy of our work, and our contribution towards the society. At a legal awareness program for poor, defenseless and women, Governor R. S. Gavai said: “Tara Foundation deserves all praise for its work. It has taken up the daunting task of guiding women.”
